Alana

CSR / Veterinary Assistant

Hello, my name is Lana. I've always had a love of animals big and small, and I have an associate's degree in veterinary science from SUNY Delhi.

I was previously working at another veterinary hospital when I started bringing my own dog to Bilmar for integrative services. I was so impressed that I made the switch — and I've been loving every minute of it since. I get to work hands-on as a technician assistant and as a receptionist, so I'm fortunate to have the best of both worlds here at Bilmar.

Andrea

CSR / Client Services

I joined Bilmar shortly after high school, under the practice's original owners, and even after years of trying other paths, I've always found my way back — veterinary medicine is home for me.

As Lead Client Service Representative and Surgical Scheduling Coordinator, I'm often the first voice clients hear, and I try to be a steady hand guiding them through their pet's surgery and recovery. This community means a lot to me, and I care about the families I work with — I hope that comes through in every visit.

At home, I'm kept company by May, a stray Pit Bull who found her way into my heart, and Bird, my feathered companion of more than 20 years.

Emily Anne

CSR

My name is Emily, and I graduated from UMass Amherst in 2023 with a bachelor's in political science and a minor in Natural Resources Conservation. One day, I hope to head out West to study wildlife-human conflict resolution and work on policy that protects all walks of life.

I've loved animals since I was a child, and now I have a cat of my own, Icarus — four years old and a total ball of energy. I'm happy to be part of the Bilmar team as a receptionist.

Veterinary Assistant

Hi! I'm Isa! I've been at Bilmar for almost 5 years! I have been working with animals since I got my first job at a farm when I was 16. I graduated from Smith with a BA in biology at Smith College and I have stayed in the area since. Some of my favorites things to do is hike and cuddle my kitty, Lux.

Hi, I’m Janice!

I joined the Bilmar team in 2024 and have loved every minute of my time here. I have worked in different roles in the animal care industry since I was 16 and am passionate about helping pets and people. Outside of work I enjoy music, literature, eating good food, and spending time with friends and family. I live in Lenox with my wonderful husband, Cristhian, and my cat Sundance, who is my pride and joy.

Kamryn

Veterinary Assistant

Hello! My name is Kamryn. I joined the Bilmar team this year and am loving my first role in small animal medicine! Bilmar’s exceptionally knowledgeable team and friendly clientele have made me feel very supported and motivated to be in the field—and to apply to veterinary schools next year! Prior to this transition, I worked in offshore wind energy development and then at a marine research center conducting research and taking care of aquatic species. I have a strong passion for the ocean as a diver and certified Marine Mammal Medic, but have found so much joy working with our land friends too and coming into work each day.

Nataly

Veterinary Assistant

I'm a veterinary assistant at Bilmar, and I love working with animals of all kinds — especially the hands-on and behavioral sides of veterinary care. Outside of work, I volunteer with my hometown ambulance squad and spend my free time dirt biking, fishing, and trying new foods. I share my home with my partner, Jordan, and our pets: Bigzie, Figs, and Murphy.

Veterinary Assistant

Before joining the Bilmar team, I was a Massachusetts-based livestock farmer for almost 15 years, most recently raising dairy cows and beef cows. I also have professional experience in social work and political advocacy. In my free time, you can find me on horseback or out exploring with my two dogs, Frieda and Dora, and my two pet sheep, Lambo and Lamba.

Olivia

Veterinary Technician Student

Hi, I'm Olivia! I'm a Connecticut native and a Veterinary Technician Student at CT State Northwestern. My love for animals started at a very young age, and I've been riding horses since I was a little girl. It's been my lifelong dream to work in veterinary medicine, I especially love caring for dogs, cats, and horses. When I'm not at Bilmar or studying, you'll usually find me at my barn with my two horses Lacey and Sassy or at home playing or cuddling with my dog Jax and cat Pickle. One of my favorite parts of the job is getting to know our clients and their furry family members, and I love helping make every visit a positive experience. I'm so excited to be part of the Bilmar family and can't wait to meet you and your pets!

Phoebe

Veterinary Technician

Phoebe’s interest in animals began at a very young age with visits to her grandmother’s house. She’s worked to create a life based on her love for all animals, big and small by becoming a certified veterinary technician in 2018 and has been caring for large animals at small, independent farms in the region ever since. If Phoebe isn’t farming or working at Bilmar, she’s most likely outside running, hiking, bicycling, serving her cats Bo Bo and River, or walking her dog Ruby Rose.

Rachel

Veterinary Assistant

For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to work with animals. I started out at a horse farm in high school, then worked as a veterinary receptionist before becoming a veterinary technician — through all of it, my passion for caring for animals hasn't changed. I've had plenty of pets over the years, including hamsters, rabbits, cats, and dogs. These days I live in Winsted, Connecticut, with my two dogs, Shasta and Loki, and my four cats, Nova, Mizu, Azula, and Maki.

Susie

Veterinary Technician

Before becoming a veterinary technician, I spent 30 years working with horses, where I discovered my love of creatures big and small. I've been at Bilmar for 26 years now!

The reason I've stuck around so long is the relationships with my coworkers — Bilmar is a family. In my spare time, I enjoy needlepoint and long walks with my neighbors and my Jack Russell, Millie.

Windyann

Practice Manager

I came to Bilmar in the fall of 2020, trading a career in hospitality management for a job that would let me be home more for my daughter. Veterinary medicine turned out to fit me oddly well — part logistics puzzle, part people work, both things I'm good at. I became Practice Manager in 2023.

At home, I'm kept company by my hound dog, Scooby Doo, and my one-eyed rescue cat, Willow. Outside of work, I write children's books, design costumes for children's theatre, practice Reiki, and can usually be found outside, especially near trees.
