Integrative Medicine
At Bilmar, integrative medicine isn't a separate category of care — it's an approach. It means bringing the full picture into the room: conventional diagnostics and treatment alongside Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, chiropractic, nutrition, and other holistic tools, considered together rather than in parallel. At Bilmar, this work is anchored by a close collaboration between Dr. Newman and Dr. James — two doctors with complementary training who regularly round together on complex cases.
Integrative Medicine Consultation
For clients who want a thorough, individualized evaluation of their animal's health, we offer a comprehensive Integrative Medicine Consultation.
The appointment begins with a detailed history — including breed-specific and genetic propensities, current concerns, and your goals — paired with extended diagnostics. Dr. Newman and Dr. James then round on the case together and build a customized Integrative Care Plan around the findings. That plan is sent to you as a written document, so what we discussed has somewhere to live.
The plan draws from the full range of what Bilmar offers — chiropractic, myofascial release, acupuncture, TCVM, herbal medicine, clinical nutrition, and conventional treatment — in service of a longer, healthier, more vital life.
Additional diagnostics — radiographs, microbiome testing, food sensitivity panels, and others — are discussed and ordered based on what we find. Nothing reflexive. Everything considered.
This consultation is well suited to pets with chronic or unresolved conditions, owners who want a strong foundation for long-term health, and any case where a second lens would help.
Integrative Senior Wellness
Senior animals occupy a different kind of clinical moment. We aren't chasing a problem — we're trying to stay ahead of one, and to support quality of life through every stage of aging. That calls for a different approach: a structured, proactive program that gives us a consistent baseline to work from, and enough breadth to catch what's changing before it becomes urgent.
Our Integrative Senior Wellness plan brings together comprehensive diagnostics with the whole-body perspective of our holistic tools.
We don't expect one or two sessions to fix everything — but they can be powerful introductions. These visits let your pet experience the care firsthand, and open a conversation about what deeper support might look like if you're interested.
